A strip is a good choice. Personally, I usually use the Alton Brown method, however I do grill on the charcoal barbie when the weather is nice. Usually I reserve the marinades for lesser cuts, but one I use is garlic, olive oil, and a sprig of fresh rosemary. Salt and pepper the sucker before putting in over the fire. That works. :D
