How do you "linkify" things??

How do you make an address into a link?? I have seen others do it, and i would like to as well. Specifically, I want the link to my rig in my signature to be linked, instead of a full address.

Thanks
Butch

BTW: What happens if you clic "subscribe to this thread"

you put (opensquarebracket)L=(thenameofthelink)(closesquarebracket)URL(opensquarebracket)(forwardslash)L(closesquarebracket)

or another way, just take all of the periods out of this (except for the ones in www.google.com):

[.L.=Link here.]http://www.google.com[./.L.]

this gives:

Link here

This should be covered in the FAQ or someplace else. Also, at the top of the post when you create a new post, there's a "http" box. Click on it, type in the name for the link, then type in the URL, and the software creates it for you.

I'm actually curious what "subscribe to thread" does too. However, I'm sure that this was covered in the FAQ.

Just put [ L = My Rig ] http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?id=18234 [/ L] that around your rig link, just take out the spaces. If you want to "linkify" in a thread, the easiest way is to click the "http" button and enter or cut/paste the URL into the window that pops up. You'll be prompted to name the link. Name it whatever you want, default name is "text."

When you subscribe to a thread, you'll be notified via e-mail or PM (change your preference under "customize") whenever a new post is made to that thread.
