How do you like your taters?

I like my taters the way I like my booze. Any way I can drink it! 😛

I prefer them either smashed or baked. But fried is OK. Potato chips bore me compared to corn chips, though.

"What's 'taters, precious?"

Baked, french fried, mashed, chips, it really depends what kind of 'tater you're talking about. I have certain kinds that I use for specific recipes.

regular 'ol potatoes? I cut them into wedges, toss them with a little bit of oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt, and then bake them till they're crispy.

sweet potatoes = whipped with honey

With an omelette...
1/2" chunks, par boiled, drained and dried, then fried in lard.

Or with steak...
Twice baked, add butter, sour creme, cheddar cheese, a little paprika on top for looks.

It's hard to pick, but frites had to be my choice. Specifically, blanched in oil, then fried a second time. Good with just about anything, but especially so w/ mussels or a steak.

I voted sliced, I think that's the closest on the list to au gratin potatoes. I like them a lot of other ways, but au gratin are so awesome!
