I went the medium rare route for the longest time, but they never quite cooked it enough, so it's medium for me.

really nice restaurant = medium rare
all others = rare

cuz unless you're at a really fine restaurant, they always tend to overcook it anyway.
it's the texture that bothers me... anything over medium rare just becomes beef jerky... and I'm not paying $20 for beef jerky!

<< Medium Rare. Most restaurants (especially those not specializing in steak) don't know how to do it. Pink and juicy. YEAH Baby! >>

Yeah, Medium Rare is always an "eating adventure" at a restaurant. Sometimes you'll get rare, and sometimes you'll get medium well. But, when it's done right... Tasty!

Don't like steak much anymore.. I've started liking Poultry better.. but if I eat steak, it's medium-ish - medium well usually.

Medium rare, the meat's not too tough but I won't die of food poisoning, :D

And who says the question has to have relevence to anyone? There are God knows how many other posts that are totally useless except for someone just being curious, ;)
