personally i prefer medium rare to medium..depends on the quality of the meat and what kind of mood i'm in that night...how about you?
 
when i see rare steak it makes me think of that scene in the beginning of 2001 a space odyssey where the monkies are eating raw intestines...i like to think that eating meat well done makes me more evolved as a human...almost like the starchild at the end 😛
 
Medium well. Sometimes medium. Just to the point where it's a bit charred on the outside but still colored and juicy on the inside.

i know steak snobs will say that you don't need steak sauce with a good steak, but i like the way A1 tastes. i grill my own tasty steaks (indoors on a cast iron skillet and outside on the grill), and i still like to have a little A1 on the side for the flavor.

not drenched in A1, but just to dip the steak in sometimes.
