I used to work at a fast food restaurant and I noticed a black ant colony outside on a tree. So I decided to be a god to them and I took 2 cups of powdered sugar + cinnamon and mixed it with water to form a syrup. I poured the liquid goo all over the base of the tree right outside their headquarters.

About a week later the restaurant had ants ALL over the counters and floor on the inside and the tree outside was COVERED with black ants. The ant colony grew beyond belief and the ants became a costly nuisance to the restaurant.

When I inspected the headquarts I saw a lot of ants with wings and different types of ants, it was like the colony had evolved from brown and small -- to large warriors + workers + winged ants. What would have been neat is if I saw the queen(s) and how deep the tunnels stretched underground.

I didn't tell anyone because I'd probably have gotten fired for doing something so ignorant.

If you ever want to experiment or get back at someone, pour a quart of sugar water next to a small ant colony and see what develops overnight. It's best done on leaves in a shaded area so the syrup doesn't dry up fast or soak into the dirt.
