How do you keep track of all your usernames and passwords?

I memorize all of them 🙂

I just downloaded Critical Mass (password management program), which i read from PC Mag. Hope this is a great program that I can really use.

If you have more than one username and password here, soon you won't have much
to keep track of. 😉

I memorize all of them. Sometimes if they are kind of hard to learn, I will attach phrases with them to help me remember. I also have somewhat of a photographic memory. I just wish I remembered other things as well. lol 🙂

I only have a couple of passwords I use everywhere... and they are quite easy to remember, so I have no problems...

Hehehe it seems like the funny mod is(was ?) on. 😉

its easy i just use this nick and the password, 'horse', for everything i do. Even my savings accounts. I have yet to forget it.

I have five passwords:

domain & ICQ
bank accounts
email
two various ones I swap around from time to time

memory for all

Yeah, I have 2-3 passwords that I use. I tried the unique password for every account idea in the past, but that was just asking for trouble.

keep records of the email sent stating what it is (if I don't get to choose it), otherwise, use a set of 3 or 4 passwords for everything. Just don't use the same one for everything.

I post all mine at various forums so if I forget one I just need to find the original post.

Hotmail:
username bigjon
password imnuts

Anandtech:
username bigjon
password yeahright

ETrade Account:
username bigjon
password whatever

Citibank Banking:
username bigjon
password rotflolpimp

There, now I don't have to worry about forgetting my passwords, and I'm sure they're safe with you guys 😀

I usually have a stupid password for places that require password for the sake of having password. Like I really care if somone uses my napster account. Then I have another set of passwords for medium security applications like online store accounts. These are easier to remember, but not something you would guess. And another set that I use for high security applications like online banking. These are cryptic with numbers, but there are only a couple of those I have to remember.

I keep a text file that has a record of all my CD keys, & over time a few nic/password combos have been added to it.

I use 3 or four passwords for everything. One easy one for most stuff like forums, and 2 harder ones for email and bank type stuff. I destroy all of these every 6 months or so and create new ones just for security's sake. But for the most part I don't think anyone has a chance in hell of guessing any of my passwords.

Most people may not care, but some of us are don't want to use passwords that could compromise our security.
I personally use a free program from PC Mag. called "Password Prompter", and have it on my desktop for quick access.

Wyvrn,

<<But for the most part I don't think anyone has a chance in hell of guessing any of my passwords. >>

Judging by your username I have little reason to doubt you 😉

Heh, I modelled it after wyvern, the mythical creature found in AD&D type games. My passwords are common words with a number and/or extra character or two thrown in in random spots. Easy to remember, hard to break.
