Hey everyone!

I just got finished building my system, and it POST'ed fine. I have two WD Raptors on a onboard Promise RAID controller in RAID 0. I built the RAID array and now it's time to install windows,

I remember it saying something like "Press F6 to install 3rd Party RAID drivers" During Setup. Just wondering what i need to do here.

All my mobo came with was the installation CD with IDE/Sound/Lan/RAID drivers and such.

I need to know what files to copy off the CD to floppy, if any one has any expierence intalling windows on a RAID array, please let me know how!!

Edit The OS is WinXP Pro

Here's what you want to do: go to Promise's website and download the latest drivers for your RAID card. Unzip that to a floppy disk. You'll notice a file on the disk called txtsetup.oem - As long as that file is present, you are good to go. Hit F6 when setup prompts you. It'll read the disk and give you a list of whatever drivers are on the disk. Select the XP drivers for your RAID card and you're good to go :)

Yeah, if they only come on the CD, you will need to copy them to floppy. Just as it gets to the blue screen of Windows Setup, press F6 a few times (I always do it a few times just in case it didn't recognise the first keypress.

Put the floppy in, and it will look on it and find the driver for the card. Select the driver, and then continue setup, and it will install it to the raid array :)
