How do You Install the *.iso images at DreamSpark ?

i downloaded the vs*1.iso and vs*2.iso files from the MSDN
Dreamspark website.

then i extracted them using ISO buster to a unique directory.
then recorded the files in that directory to a CD.

trying to make an install CD.

it gets to a "can't find {something}.msi" error message, and
stops.

how do you install the VS2005 software MS is distributing at Dreamspark ?

Maybe you can just skip the ISO extraction and burn the ISO directly. I would assume you install the software like you would with any other.

Here's a free burner: FreeBurner

Thanks for the reply !

i did make a CD with just the iso. when i put it in the
optical drive, i get the "what application do you use
for this file" window.

thanks !

i ended up using Ahead Nero on an old computer. it had read disk images, file type *.iso, as
an option. it recorded the 2 disks & now i have a chance to study XNA (3D gaming SDK,
which needs VS 2005.)
