I got a crap load of pennies and some nickels, dimes and quarters that adds up to $100 or so last time I counted(I didn't count pennies tho.. I'm assuming $8~$10). I try to use the change for lunch so it doesn't collect in my house evermore but I still have hard time using up the pennies. It's too inconvinient for use, but it's a shame to toss it.

Save it for laundry in college.

I have oll my change in the top of a CD-Rom Spindle. When it gets full, it's upgrade time. I usually have about $200 or so in it. Just toss it in when you get home. Easy way to save 🙂

Exactly...I have a big Costco-sized mayonnaise jar that I just dump it all in when I get home...

quarters are precious.. i save those for laundry...
dimes/nickels go to buying drinking water from the vending machine..
pennies go into a jar forever...

just dump ur change into a bucket or jar when u get home. eventually it will fill up... take it to the local coinstar machine... and cash in. i've made it all the way to $75 with normal change. i've made it to $55 with pennies alone (been saving for like 8 years tho) 😛 it was sad seeing them go... but it sure beats counting them.

I bought one of those change sorters a couple weeks ago. I just drop my change in and roll it whenever it's full ($18 so far).

I have a huge Sparklets Water Battle that the change get dropped into. SOmeday I will Roll it up and buy something cool!

I save everything but pennies in one place, and pennies in a green "I Dream Of Gennie" (sp?) style glass jar. I use my change before I use dollar bills, and I save my pennies, take them to the bank, and get $100's of dollars at a time with them all. 😀

I have an empty detergent container that I use to keep pennies in and it works, but the problem is I never use pennies so it keeps piling up. Coinster charges like 8% and that feels like such a big rip off and I don't particularly feel like going to bank for those pennies, yet I don't want to throw them away.

Man you guys have it easy with your change in the US! Here in Canada, a year's change can be $100-300 easy (for everyone) since we have $1 and $2 coins, along with the rest. There's nothing weirder then going through a small fist-sized wad of coins and finding $80 in there. But hey, our dollar's worthless anyway, right? ;-)

I throw it into a old watter bottle the real big ones, then take it to the safeway they have a change machine they hit you for I think 8% most of the time I have around $500 in change.

Then I run out and spend it on $hit i dont need.😀

Use one of the change machines at your local grocery store. They charge 8% but using it will get your money back into circulation.

I have a few big cups from my college days (Uni logo and stuff) that I chuck non-quarters in... dang, gotta take it to the bank someday...

I have a big ol' plastic Halloween pumpkin bowl full of change in the trunk of my car. Problem is, I just discovered this morning that it tipped, and now my trunk looks like a bank vault exploded in it. Oh well, it gives me something to do tomorrow...

i have 2 diff. shaped big a&% vases

1 for pennies (hate those)

and one for silver (nickels, dimes and quarters)

last time i emptied out the silver one, it was about a month ago and i had almost $40

i empty about every month or two

Its needless to say that you dont want to throw out change. Who would? and doesent everyone throw it in a container when you get home?

I just save my change all year and at christmas time dump it in one of those change machines that counts it for me. After last year of not saving to well after the machine took an 9% cut I still got just over $180 back.
