How do you graph this??

y = 5x + 3

I know its a simple thing but I completely forgot how to do it..

would you just substitute values like:

if x = 0 then y = 3 (0,3)
if y = 0 then x = -3/5 ??
if x = 1 then y = 8 ?

is this how you go about doing it?

Would the graph look like this?

Yes, as poeple have alreayd said, Y-int is 3, slope is 5, that's all you need to know.

Your 'graphs' are correct, but please, do get a graphing calculator. There are some good free ones available.
