how do you get word 2007 to open two documents side by side by default?

i can do this after i open up word, but i have to insert another blank page...is there any way to do it by default/when word opens?

You're expecting Word to open 2 documents simultaneously when you open Word (regardless whether they're side by side)?

the amount of time it took you to post this exceeds the amount of time it would take you to do it the way you know. Just do it that way assuming you're not doing this 100x a day.

that would be handy though having two blank documents open side by side when opening

I just click open word, excel or explorer twice and drag the screens. Pretty sure there isn't a built in tool to open two documents (programs) at once. Like others said, is it that hard to click twice;). On the bright side, windows seems to remember how to size/place your windows side by sider occasionally.

There's a compare option in one of the menu's that allows you to open two word documents side by side but it's normally not defaulted for word to open like that.

well i thought i read about it somewhere...it would be handy if i could.

im totally fine just adding another page as needed though.
