How do you get the "Squared" symbol in Excel?

ie E=MC squared
In Word, you go...Format->Font->Superscript, but I'll be buggered if I can find it in Excel.

1) Type in E=mc2
2) Highlight "2" in the edit box (under the toolbars), not the cell
3) Right-click and choose "format cells..."
4) Check "Superscript"

That's not the same as copying the symbol from character map is it?
