How do you get the Search function to work

Ok, so I was looking for a thread on that studio 60 show on NBC. I KNOW there's been threads on it. So I searched for 'Studio' under Off-Topic...and got 3 threads that had nothing to do with the show...same results whether I put that into the 'match all words' or 'match any words' text box (obviously because it's a one word search). But still, why does the search suck so bad? I can search for threads I MADE one week ago, and get no results..

You don't

It doesn't work

They know about it

They choose not to fix it

The search engine has been a problem for so long, and so many people have complained about it. Is it fixed? No. Sit down and shut up. :)

EDIT: to make that a little more happy

i hope someone does a review of this site that appears in a major publication and notes that the search is borked.

that'll learn 'em.

it's got to be an easy fix!!!!

I think you just post something and wait for the jerks to point out thread(s) where you've copied someone else by reposting or asking something someone else already brought up back in the day...Usually it's the least obvious thread title with an odd spelling.

Best of luck though.

You mean title/summary? That doesn't work.

I don't see a search by subject/summary option.
