From my experience, there are a few directory sites which direct you to sites. The addresses are always random characters so there is no way to remember them. They may change frequently because many of the listings were dead links.

My take away was, there was nothing of interest that you otherwise could not find on the clear net. Have not been back in years because I found it a waste of time.

I've found some really cool stuff, only to find out it was on the clear web too, so it was like "oh". Snowden leaked data and stuff like that.

It's more of a use-based medium. Like in the OS Tails the whole thing communicates through Tor. Granted there are still vulnerabilities to consider. But if I was to mix Bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency, I'd use Tails and Helix. If I was a reporter that wanted to stay way under the radar, I'd consider Tails.

If you need opium or a hitman those things can be found on the regular web too. Just ask around, plenty of people willing to help out a stranger.

You can get good deals through ISIS run .onion sites. Their production facilities are backed and funded by the government so they have very low overhead.

One does not go looking for the dark web.

For if you look into the darkness, the darkness looks back into you.

I know they've had some bugs in the TOR Browser, but I think security is improving.
