How do you get rid of batteries.

Modified Hoppes clay pigeon thrower mounted on stern of ship. Launch them at ragboaters that defy blasts on ship horn to get the fvck out of the way when backing away from dock, etc.

I guess (for the idiot blowboaters) it's better than getting pulled into the waring blender.

I take mine to a battery disposal center in our town ... incl. car batteries, aa, d, 9V etc.

Lead acid i.e. vehicle batteries and UPS batteries --> Household Hazardous Waste Facility
Rechargeable batteries i.e. Lithium Ion, Nickel Metal Hydride, Nickel Cadmium --> Household Hazardous Waste Facility
Dry cells + alkaline batteries (so called "flashlight batteries") --> garbage can

Rechargables and Lithiums go to a recycling place (like a hardware store or RS), while alks go right into the trash.

Automotive I recycle,bring to the store when i get a new one.

AAA,thru D cells,garbage.

I don't buy Alkaline batteries... and I've never had any NiMH batteries go bad on me... just lose a couple.
