Do they just cut you a check right in the courtroom? How does the money actually change hands? What happens if they don't pay?

Usually in a big money action they keep appealing until you are dead or go broke from attorney fees. Or as in the latest tobacco suite they appeal until you are dead and get a reduction from a bought judge.

theres no reprecussions for not paying.

ie:
u win a judgement from a car dealership

Won't someone broach the topic of insurance and indemnification agreements? By indemnification agreements I mean the kind between, for example, tenant and landlord, subcontractor and General Contractor, etc.
