How do you get over a crush?

Damn... I feel weird for asking this, but oh well.

So there is this beautiful woman here in the same dorm as me. Sometimes me and my neighbors hang out with her and her roomate. Anyway... I have fallen for her like I never thought I could. The problem is that I know she wouldn't be interested in me. About as far as I would ever get would be friends, and maybe not even that. So the solution is to get over her somehow. What do I do? I can't stop thinking of her. I close my eyes and there she is.

Any tips?

God I feel like a dork/geek for asking this. Oh wait, I am 😉:Q😀

Nope, you can't accept that. You got to make her reject you. That will help.
 
what can u do? cut off all contact and wait till u have a crush on a different girl heh...

but cutting off or minimal contact usually helps, i find myself getting deeper into trouble when i hang around the person involved too much.

and im in the middle of a crush right now too, sux a$$ [edit: and talking to her on msn for 30hrs over 2 days is not helping]

seriously... concentrate on your studies, do things that you enjoy, and if all else fails, convince yourself that she was probably a nutcase anyways.

I've managed to stop falling for a girl at the drop of a hat.. I used to crush and get my heart broken so much... After a while the whole falling for someone who tramples your heart thing gets old and you start to get jaded.

In the meantime, do whatever you can to keep your mind off of her.. To be honest all the crushes i have are still inside me somewhere but luckily I never see those girls much. 🙂

you dont suppose to get over crushes, its very highly impossible. That is why talk show hosts make these topics, "long HS crush, crush at work, etc"

i have about 5 crushes at school, dont even know these girls name but from time to time think about them and just see how retarded I am thinking of them while they have no idea i exist or would want me. hahahah. crushes are fun! why would you like to get over it. they fill a small hole, and its nice 🙂

after you get past that stage and start asking how you get over a ex, NOW THATS A DIFFERENT STORY 😀

I think the best thing for me to do is to just ask her out, and get denied. Sure, it will hurt, but then it will be over and done with. I just need to muster the courage now🙁

I agree. Make her reject you by being blatant and casual. Ask her out knowing that you'll get no for an answer. At least you tried. Then you can tell yourself she's missing out on a good thing because you have alot of love to give her that she doesn't want.

I felt this way about a year ago. Then I found out there were other girls that were tons better. I'm pretty much over it, but there are some times...

The reason you can't get over her is because you denied yourself the chance at her for fear of rejection. Now you won't let yourself forget her because the chance is still there. Until you ask her out or at least become friends with her, there will always be the CHANCE that you could have gone out with her. Kill that chance unless you enjoy clinging to lost causes. If your lucky maybe she digs dorks.
 
I love having crushs, especially when they show interest too, but the situation prevents acual relationship (such as the crush being you best friends sister, Jessica *sigh*, it just wouldnt feel right 🙁 )
 
Dedicate atleast two straight days and watch lots and lots of pr0n, oh, and have lots of tissues at your disposal. Thick paper towels can be used multiple times, so you get more bang for your buck with those... good luck, by the time you're done you'll have forgotten about her and be in love with your hand.
