One could start by putting it in the "website" portion of your profile here. (note not in the signature as that is to spamlike and will cause many people to NOT go there)

Usually when people need a question answered, sometimes they search with a tool called Google and look for an online forum for that particular topic for help. If the forum is able to answer the question, more than likely they usually stay and nef.

Yep.

If your site has good content then you also get linked to from other site forums and articles, blogs, etc.

In some cases a press release, targeted advertising, and even Google adwords might make sense, but these all require spending money.
