<< Hi,
I have this domain i just registered from www.godaddy.com. The domain is www.loonatic.net 🙂
From what I have read, in order for the domain to work, i have to put the "name server" info of the host right?
Let's say I have this link of mine hosted by JPS: ftp://robot33@jps.net/flash/flashing.html How do I get the name server
so that i can entered into my www.loonatic.net account at www.godaddy.com for it to work? Please help help help me.
Thank you so much 🙂

well, you need to set up a nameserver. 2, actually, and each needs it's own static IP.

BIND is a standard nameserver, it runs on unix systems. Good luck.

notfred, thank you so much for replying but I have no idea what you're talking about buddy 😀
As you can tell, i am a super novice at this stuff. How do i go about setting up 2 name servers? Jps gave me 20 MEGs a long time ago for using their DIAL UP. Hehe...Can I just use it as my host or do i need to go to a host such as www.hostica.com to get it to work? Please enlighten me folks. Thank you. 🙂

read up.

seriosly though, if you're a super novice, you'r eprobably better off paying someone else to host the site rather than trying to set up your own nameservers.

Hehe, i know what you mean but:
** Paying for someone to do it for you : $200 maybe
** The feeling that you do something on your own : priceless 😀 (well, with ATOT forum help of course 😉 )

beside, this page is nothing important, just put up pictures of babes for fun that's all. Hehehe...I'll give u guys the links to babes later when it's all done. 😀

errrr, well, let me make my question a bit clearer: Is it possible to use a host such as JPS and attach it to my domain name? I fear not because it's my ex dial up connection provider. If it is possible, how do I get a name server from it? That's basically my question. Sorry for the confusion. thanks.
