How do you get a ring off a finger?

Get a string under the ring, maybe with a needle, then work the string around in circles while pulling it off. Works like a charm.

Go down to your local FD and ask them to cut it off, they carry ring cutters. A small piece goes under the wring and then a tiny grinding wheel you turn by hand cuts through the ring, and then you just bend it open.

Put her hand in some ice cold salt laden windex, slather both of you up with vasoline, and pull the ring off with a string.

Same suggestion. It makes a very clean cut that is easy to repair. I also know some jewelers that will remove it free....so they can try to get the repair work.

Seriously I have cut several rings off with the ring cutter, and it's painless.

Slide a thin piece of plastic under it, like from a notebook cover, to protect her finger, then cut the ring over the plastic with diagonal pliers or nippers.
