My girlfriend made me try the egg mask thing and despite the fact that I wash my face pretty regularly and am very hygenic, I was amazed at the stuff that came off my skin with that thing. There really is a lot of stuff that gets embedded in the skin that soap doesn't even touch.

I am telling yall, epsom salt is the cure for everything.
add some water to the salt, make it a slush and put them on your face.
Wait for it to dry, wash face thoroughly.
You will feel the skin really tightens up.

Moisterizer is usually a no no on sensitive facial skin, it will most likely worsen the skin.

when i shower i use an imitation of the St Ives apricot facial scrub

sometimes during the day if im oily i use the little paper of oil/makeup remover...theyre thin paper powdered pads the size of a laptop touchpad and come in a little thin booklet...blot the sheet on your face and youre good to go

You can use a product which will eliminate oilyness/ shine build-up during the day. These products have micro-particles of silica which absorb the oil. You put a very small amount of gel on in the morning, and it will keep your skin looking matt (non-oily) all day. eg:

"Neutrogena Pore Refining® Mattifier is an ultra-sheer shine control gel that instantly gives you smooth, even skin. This dermatologist-tested, oil-free silicone formula absorbs oil and eliminates shine. It works better than a powder to prevent shine from breaking through, so make-up looks fresh all day. Its dual-action formula transforms into a silky matte finish the moment you apply it, so fine lines and wrinkles are diminished. Pores also look smaller. Skin is smoother and more even?instantly. And shine is controlled all day."**

**this product is marketed towards women, but it works just as well for guys. the gel is invisible on your skin, it's a bit like a moisuriser. neutrogena products are good because the are fragrance free and inexpensive.

"L'Oreal Pure Zone Skin Relief Oil-Free Moisturizer - 2.5 fl oz - Hydrates skin without clogging pores, works to control shine especially in the T-zone, and helps calm skin for a smooth, matte, shine-free finish."***

***this product has ingredients to speed up skin turnover, it might help with the dull skin, as well as the oiliness.

as for the dark circles, maybe try getting more sleep, drinking more water, eating more fresh vegetables, fruit, etc., plus maybe take a multivitamin/ mineral product.

other products (a bit pricey) which eliminate shine/ oiliness-

"Shiseido Men - Anti-Shine Refresher Matifying Gel 30ml /1 oz. $32.00 US
This refreshing cooling gel reduces shine and stickiness, keeping skin shine free for up to 8 hours. Available at select Shiseido counters. Formulated with Oil-Absorbing Reflecting Powder to camouflage pores. Cooling agents (Menthol and Camphor) tightens pores with a refreshing feel. To Use: Apply small amount over shiny or oily areas with light patting motions. Reapply as needed, first blotting away visible surface oil with oil blotting paper or tissue."

"Lancome Pure Focus T-Zone.
Instant Matifying Powder Gel. Forehead, Nose, Chin. Oily skin. Transform oily skin. Pure, shine-free, lightweight, even close-up. This smooth, velvety gel is non-oily and ultra-comfortable to instantly and lastingly mattify the T-Zone. The result: your skin is perfectly matte and soft to the touch. The Matitex? Spheres reduce shine and create an immediate mattifying effect by diffusing light away from the skin in multiple rays with minimum intensity.

Use PURE FOCUS T-ZONE on the forehead, nose and chin during as part of your daily beauty treatment and/or when retouching make-up."

Lancome Homme (for guys)
MAT CONTROL.
24HR MOISTURIZER. LONG LASTING ANTI-SHINE ACTION. A fresh fluid moisturizer that hydrates your skin all day long and prevents it from shining. Its exclusive GPS? Dermo system contains micro-sensors designed to target the pores deep down and absorb sebum at its source. Your skin is comfortable and shine-free for hours on end.

"Clarins Instant Shine Control Gel
For an immediate matte appearance, while letting your skin "breathe". Instant Shine Control Gel promotes a matte complexion and instantly minimises skin shine. One application of this clear, lightweight gel smoothes the skin and leaves it matte and more even. Its non-oily texture is appreciated by men and women. "

The dark circles are very difficult to combat because there are so many causes. Does your skin under your eyelids feel saggy? Is there any fat pads there? If there isn't then you need more vitamin E. Vitamin E stores itself in adipose tissue. If there's no fat pad there, then you feel or look like an old person. I have also read about Magnesium causing dark circles because Magnesium helps with sleep. If you have insomnia, then it could be the cause of the dark circles. In that case, try Magnesium. I have read about vitamin K. It doesn't seem to work for too many people even though almost every product claims to have vitamin K in it. However, you could try vitamin K. It may help a bit. It does help if indeed a vitamin K deficiency is the cause of raccoon eyes (periorbital echymosis). Then there is the common Potassium solution in the form of potatoes. I've also read about sinusitis causing dark circles. If it's due to sinusitis, you could try Bromelain (pineapple enzyme). It works at least for a temporary relief.

Look for products with hyaluronic acid (HA). As someone said, you want to be always hydrated. Yes, the body contains a whole lot of water, but water needs glycosaminoglycans which love the water, hug it and act as cushions. They are what hold the water. Hyaluronic acid is made of glucoronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. Some observation was made some time ago and reported of a Japanese village where their staples included foods rich in hyaluronic acid. They had great skin at old ages. I really don't know what nutrients are rich in it. It is usually used by doctors for connective tissue, and it is usually through injection. So I really don't know if the oral form is very helpful, and they are quite expensive. Some skin products claim to have it, but you always have to wonder if the ingredients are in significant amount as needed for the skin. HA also acts as sunscreen.

Before you even worry about other things, make sure you are eating foods rich in Zinc. Zinc is an extremely important mineral, which many enzymes depend upon. It acts as an anti-oxidant, and helps get rid of toxic metals such as lead. Also make sure you have enough vitamin A but not too much. Both Zinc and vitamin A are significantly involved in the skin. If you're lacking in Zinc, then you're lacking in vitamin A because vitamin A depends upon Zinc to transport it from the liver to other parts of the body. Taking vitamin A in the absence of sufficient Zinc will not make significant changes. A deficiency in vitamin A manifests itself in rough skin and bad night vision. Many pimple related products are made of synthetic form of vitamin A. Again, remember you don't want too much vitamin A and not too little either. Too much could lead to toxicity, especially if it is preformed. Symptoms of toxicity include, but are not limited to, headaches, dry skin, dry lips, alopecia, and liver cirrhoses.

In addition, consider foods rich in Biotin or take B-Complex vitamins. Essential fatty acids are also supposed to help with oily skin, but I really don't know much about it.

For skin related problems, topical, as opposed to oral, application of these vitamins and minerals usually have the best and most effect. If you could get skin lotions that contain much of these minerals and vitamins, you stand a high chance of rejuvenating your skin.

i have been drinking pop only on the weekends for the past month or month and a half. otherwise its strictly water, juice, or milk. i don't eat many fruits/veggies, so that could be the source of my problems. i also get about 6-9 hours of sleep each night. usually less than more, thats probably the source of my dark circles.

i'm 18 years old.

I use a Neutrogena facial cleanser followed with a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream. I used to follow it with a moisturizer with built-in sun block but I notice now I do better without moisturizer. I really got good results b/c before I had adult acne plus unevenly toned skin.

just do like the celebs do and cover up your blemishes with makeup

Or better yet, meet girls only in bars with low lighting 🙂
