A month ago when I was working one job, only 3 hours a day, I was able to manage 5 meals a day. Last week I started a second job and I find myself not having enough time to barely fit 3-4 meals in a day. When school rolls around in the fall, I think I'd be lucky to fit 2 meals in a day. This can't be good since I'm trying to bulk up.

How do you guys manage 5-6 meals a day? What kinda food are you packing? I think pretty soon I'm gonna need to turn my car trunk into a refrigerator/kitchen or trade in my car for a vending cart.

My recommendation would be just to pack sandwiches, protein bars, and salads (w/chicken, etc.)with you. Those shouldn't be too hard to fit in anywhere, and are for the most part healthy.

i think maybe you have the wrong ideas of meals? I think for me it's mostly healthy "snacks", not something you have to sit down on and munch on for awhile, you can do it while at your desk and working, etc...

Just do what I did for a month when I wanted to get into top shape... I had egg substitutes (Egg Beaters) w/ whole wheat bread and tomato and lettuce... ALL IN ONE SANDWICH... bleh!! it was nasty.. but it gave me everything I needed per meal... did that for 5 meals a day... one month later I was cut as ever and felt great! Just packed the sandwiches in plastic bags, everytime somebody saw it, they'd give me a dirty look.. =(

The only problem with packing sandwiches and protein bars is that they get relatively expensive. I can't believe it cost like $3-4 bux for a package of 5 or so slices of chicken/turkey breast. I don't even need to get started on how protein bars are ridiculously priced.

Raoul, I'm anticipating to be out of the house from 8am-10pm. Means I gotta at least pack 3 meals and a couple snacks. I'm trying to look for a cheap way to work this out. I'm a college student :)

ahahah well that means you can't afford the bars and stuff, and what not. hmmm :) that's one tough problem you have. Plus remember, drink lots and lots of water everyday.

Yep unfortunately these workout meals can become damn pricey. Consider a quart of milk for a meal. Thats not too much...or get skim milk powder mixed with an easy to mix protein powder.

yes rice is cheap but i need more than carbs throughout the day :p

i'm afraid to drink a lot of milk. i get the runs when i eat too much dairy. since it's pretty outrageous for me to prepare 3 or so meals everynight for the next day, i should probably stick to snacks, 1-2 meals, and just buy one meal? then i need to find the time to eat them. lol. i work 2 jobs, 3 hrs each, so i get no break at all. then i got class. i think people gonna start to refer to me as "the guy who eats in the back of the class."

at the risk of inspiring jokes, beans! they got lots of protein.
and peanuts. If you can hold your beans, then this is cheap and
healthy. :)

You need to invest in some Tupperware and a good size insulated bag. You also need to learn how to shop supermarket specials. I wait to see when bone in chicken breast on sale very cheaply, I buy in bulk, break out my cutting board and a good knife and debone it.Some I cut into strips for quick stir fry meals, some I cook up right away and freeze for use in sandwichs.

Stock up on yogurt, cottage cheese when it goes on sale, learn the art of stir fry, make a nice pot of pasta, simmer up some beans, take meal sized portions put em in microwave/freezer safe containers and freeze them for use during the week

chop up and bag greens for salads, put the greens in ziplock bags,
slice tomatos and onions and put them into tupperware containers, olives go into another tupperware container,Same thing for tuna, open and carefully drain a couple cans, put em in tupperware. In the morning you load a couple frozen meals and salad baggie into your insulated bag
and you're set !

Either in your car,or in a locker or ample drawer at work keep in a bottle of salad dressing, croutons, a jar of good peanut butter, some crackers, healthy trail mix type snacks
dried fruit,etc

The key to eating a lot and eating well when you have little timne is all in careful planning and in investing a little time once a week or so in preparing your food.

Meals? 5-6 a day?!? I have generally 1-2 meals a day (lunch and dinner), with the occasional snack.
