How do you find how much weight a car can hold?

Im trying to find the weight ratings on these cars, IE how much they can hold. Googled and edmunsded, and no lucky. Any idea where i can find that?

Go to a used car lot and check the sticker on the inside of the door?

Try to find a manual?

It's probably in the range of 850 or so pounds, considering they are smallish cars. Even midsize cars don't seem to go much above 1000lbs, I think.

If your car was air tight, and you knew the weight of the car, I believe you should be able to drive it into a pool, measure the displacement of the water level, then determine the volume of the entire car including the air inside, then subtract out the volume of the car based on the mass of its material. I know a car is made of different materials, so maybe you can find some sort of average density for all the materials in your car.

Hope this helps

Keep putting weights in the car until it break, then measure the weight you were able to get in.

i think u have to look for the Gross weight for each model that will tell you how much it could handle
