How do you feel about obituaries on ATOT?

How do you feel about people posting for the deaths of loved ones on ATOT? I don't doubt sincerity, but I don't understand the motive for a poast like that, either.

I don't want to seem insensitive, it's just that when my gramps passed away a few weeks ago, I thought about posting an RIP thread for a second, but reconsidered.

Your thoughts?

some ppl deal with things differently. sometimes the encouraging words from members here on ATOT can be helpful.

i'd care more if an atot member died but honestly I don't really care if some guy i barely know on the internet friend's died. too many degrees of seperation for me.

I agree. Its a community and some people like to deal with things differently then others. If people don't like a topic, like what's one the tv, don't watch/read it.

i personally find it ok. its just for some closure and hopefully a place to express feelings without having to face people about it (not erally how i wanted to explain it). i try to be very heartfelt and sincere if i post on a obituary post

Waiting for Ameesh to post from beyond the grave...:)

Suppose ATOT will be here when we croak?

I'm not really into the RIP threads myself. It's a personal thing that I don't feel should be shared with a bunch of strangers on a messageboard.

If someone wants to do it, fine....as long as no one is forcing anyone it is cool.

I don't care; I just tend to ignore those threads. Hard to feel sad for someone I don't even know.

Even then, that would really depend on the member ;)
