Today I bought my first wallet... never needed it until now. I've always carried my cash in my pocket -- makes it easy to just reach in and grab however many bills you want.
However, now that I have a driver's license, many a time I've forgotten it at home because I don't carry it on me... so I bought a wallet.
The feeling of something in my back pocket is unusual...

How do you feel about having to carry one?

edit: fixed grammatical error.

I carry a wallet... I don't feel anything about carrying it though. Who cares? I may have money in there or in my pocket, whatever. It doesn't really matter. But I do need my wallet to keep all my cards and such all together.

I hate carrying a fat wallet in my back pocket, because its uncomfortable when I sit. I have a little leather holder that holds my driver license, couple of credit cards, and I carry cash in my pocket. My back feels much better and its easier to sit. Good Luck! Have Fun!

who cares? It's a wallet. I've had one as long as I can remember. It goes in my back pocket and has my cash, my cards, etc.

I carry my wallet everyhere I go in my back pocket. I know it's not the safest place to put it, but it's the most convenient. I only get conscious of it being there when I'm on the subway and I'm fearing the pickpocketers.

I always carry a wallet. Driver's license, two credit cards, a Blockbuster Rewards card, pictures, insurance information, money, etc.

And I don't carry it in my back pocket, I carry it in my right front pocket. I don't want to sit on the damned thing.

I usually just carry around some money in my pocket, since I don't need any cards in every day life, but if I carry it, I do it the same way as Viper GTS - in the front pocket. I just hate sitting on it, and it safer and easier that way IMHO.

i have the wallet at my back pocket. used to have it at the front, but now it's too clustered with junks...
all cards and money in it, but recently i leave some unused credit cards back home to cut on the thickness....

on a slightly related note, do you or some guys you know carry wallet in their hands? it's quite common for girls to do that, but i've also seen some guys doing that, and i always thought it's strange and a bit un-manly....

just my thought ... what do you think?

never carry change.
and 1creditcard, 1debitcard, 1driverslicience.

I alternate my creditcards depending on where I plan to go...

wallet is just too bulky and useless.

and I hate spending money on something that carries money!

I hate carrying things in my pockets so I just have a credit card wallet and the cash is in the front pocket. I hardly carry cash too because I put everything on my debit card.

That reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where George has this gigantic wallet and he can never find anything... lol

I carry a thin, full rear jean-pocket sized, wallet. It has two slips for holding CC's, drivers license, insurance, ex.. And, of course, it has the usual slip for holding cash. Three things I never leave home without; wallet, keys, cell phone. You never know when you'll need something from your wallet, and the first time I leave home without it I'll need it for an emergency. I've carried my wallet for years, so I have naturally become comfortable with it.

I paid $8 for my wallet. It was a good deal, except for the fact of where it holds the change. It makes the wallet bulk up funny. Other than that, I always have my wallet in my back pocket or a zippered front pocket.

I really don't worry about it too much. My wallet sits in my back pocket right next to the knife sheath that hangs off my belt.

I'm with SilverThief. Feel naked without it. Same as the key ring, watch and comb. They all go together. Where the hell else are you going to keep bills, credit cards, driver's license, library and video rental cards... ? I keep business cards in there with tons of notes and phone numbers. And it's not that thick. No change or pictures, just the necessities all in one spot.

Now, ask about my wife's damn purse! What a friggen nightmare! All this crap in there, but never anything when you need it. I ask her for a pencil, ya think she has one in there? Nope! How about a stick of gum? Nope! Never mind a screwdriver or something useful like that. :disgust:

I have a wallet. Didn't spend any money on it. Always get wallets as gifts. My current one is a coach one a friend bought me a while back. (damn I miss her. my best friend from way back). had it for 5 years now and still perfect. i never liked putting it into my back pocket before. But when you wear a suit and have a cell phone and stuff, it's gotta go in the back. unless you want to look like you've been playing pocket pool ;)

I used to always have a wallet, but now I carry a money clip, and I keep my cards in the middle of the bills in the clip. MUCH less "imposing" than a wallet.

Money goes in my Left Front Pocket, I also keep notes to myself there (ex. things to do or get)
Keyring goes in my Right Front Pocket.
Wallet in my Right Back Pocket.
In my wallet is:
Drivers Lic.
Work ID
Voter Reg. Card
Medical Insurance Card
Prescription Card
AT&T Calling Card
BJ's Wholesale Membership Card
Video Store ID Card
Wedding Picture
Pictures of my son
Extra Car Key (plastic one, kinda like a credit card)
Firearm's ID Card
If I choose to bring a Credit Card with me it goes there also

I like a leather trifold wallet

Personally I find it annoying to have to carry it around . Maybe I'm in a minority...

But I would much rather have Smartcards or something. You know, like the American Express Blue or the new Visa smartcard CC's :)
