I have a Linksys wireless g notebook adapter on my notebook running Win2000 and can't find out how to enable WPA security on either the card or the computer.

The Linksys product page says this card is wpa capable but I can find no other information about this.

Anyone know about this?

Capable and available is not necessary the same.

To use WPA you need a product that is capable and the drivers are available, and you need OS that supports it.

I do not know the Linksys side.

On the Microsoft Side upgrades to WPA are available for WinXP and Win2003 Server.

Windows2000 SP4 was released two months ago, but I do not think it includes support for WPA.

Thanks for the reply. I think you're right, unfortunately.

Jack, I would think the WPA would be supplied with the NIC driver, I wasn't aware that it needed O/S support. That's somewhat of a bummer if it's true, since not everyone has XP. :)
