i want to see what the code looks like inside the bios file for my xbox modchip. how can i open it and see what is going on?

when i try to open it in notepad it comes up as unintelligle crap.

thanks

You need something called a Hex Editor. It will show you a view of the actual hex codes (and usually thier decimal counterparts - that is, if it's text, you could read it). I use hexplorer which can be found at http://www.icy.prv.pl/

ok that was something i have seen before, but i still cant get it to output actual text.

the bios file is here if you want to take a look
