Shots. I can drink from the bottle but that would tend to end with me passed out drunk pretty quickly.

If I do...it's usually neat. But it's very seldom that I drink a whiskey or a scotch. pooooooooossibly a whiskey sour.

Whiskey, I do straight

For me, there's no way to hide the taste of Whiskey in soda or whatever...so I just pirate up and take it as a shot

i love how it tastes. i just drink jack or jim or james on the rocks. if its the really cheap stuff ill mix with coke.

i like it on rocks or in mixes.

I don't do hard stuff often. i get wasted way to fast. though i do love a long island whenever i can.

back when I was a real heavy drinker (re: college), I used to drink it straight from the bottle, janis joplin-style.

nowadays, I drink it with decaf tea as a nightcap, or whisky sours.

ohh whisky sours rock. i went out with a friend and we had like 8 each one night. just glad we had a DD to get us home hehe

Good whiskey like a single malt scotch or jack daniels I sip either neat or with ice

It is such a waste when people take a nice whisky and pour coke all over it which wastes weeks of charcoal filtering and years of aging

I'm not against mixing but why not do it with something that tastes bad by itself like tequila or vodka. ok some people will probably disagree here

With a splash of water. Not water as a chaser. Why would you do that?? Because the whiskey tastes bad?? In that case, buy better whiskey.

With reluctance. It reminds me too much of heart burn (no longer have that problem but the familiar feeling is not so good). Once you get a few down though it starts going smooth!

Good single malt scotch - neat
meh scotch - with crushed ice

good rye - as ice cold as you can get it without watering it down, or in a manhattan
meh rye - with gingerale I guess...

haven't tried irish whisky, and I'm not a huge fan of bourbon.
