Anybody use DVD-RAM? I want that LG DVD-Multi drive.

I think I just got that LG drive. It cost almost nothing, and it is really quiet, too. The DVD-RAM media seem to be pricey, tho, seems more cost effective to use the standard media and discard every time you do a new backup.

At work, daily incremental tape backups (at 2 AM) via Veritas and an HP StorageWorks appliance. The tape cartridge gets sent to Iron Mountain for off-line storage.

At home, I haven't decided what to do yet. 😀
Edit: 😱

i use a cool program called dirsync which enables me to back up data from harddrive to harddrive, or from computer (network share) to computer. i have about 3 mirrors of stuff on 3 different machines.
