How do you display more threads on one page?

I think this is an option that they disabled in VB to prevent nested quote fests.

Actually the only time I've ever seen nested quoting enabled on any vB forum was in the PMs. Forum posts are always nest-free. Can be a good thing, or a bad thing.

One thing that should be fixed though that I just found is the annoying "thank you for posting" page.
