How do you disable universal plug'n'play under Windows XP?

YES YOU CAN. Go to Administrative Tools then Services. Now just look for Universal......double click it you'll see 3 choices: Disable, Automatic, and Manual, pick what you want.

Actually the FBI retracted that advice some time ago (disabling, they still recommend you patch )

Actually, all that supposed "patch" does is DISABLE the UPnP service. Something you can do manually.

Isnt there a site that u can go to that disables it...i went to it but i forgot the name of it but it disables the Universal Plug and Play
