How do you delete unwanted folders like Tasks in Outlook XP?

Is there a way to delete unwanted folders on the Folder list for Outlook XP? I would like to delete the folders like Calendar, Notes, and Tasks but they don't have a delete option when I right click.

Also, have you ever heard of the .pst and .pab files just disappearing? When I opened Outlook yesterday it said my personal folders could not be located. I searched for *.pst and *.pab and they are gone. No one else uses this PC and I have loaded several programs like Sound Forge and UT recently, but it's worked since then. I did a system restore multiple times, I even went back a month, but it didn't fix it. I lost a lot of important email is there a way to recover it? Help please! 😱

Thanks in advance!

If you're talking about the buttons on the left side of the screen, just right-click one of the buttons you don't want and select "Remove from Outlook Bar".

I'm not sure how to remove the actual folder itself though...

There really is better alternatives to using Outlook if you simply want a good quality email client. Outlook is great when used in the workplace because the calender/tasks/to do etc come to good use but at home why don'y you try something like Eudora? I switched from Outlook XP to it a couple of weeks back and have been very impressed, much better than Outlook in every respect.
