My first roommate used to sleep-talk. He'd scream at me and ask me wtf I was doing in his room.

Count your blessings, man.

That's crazy man.

My brother used to sleep walk and went around looking for things. He would look under pile of clothes, inside a drawer, asked me "where is it?" and go back to bed. He never told me what was he looking for though :( and never seem to recall any of this when he is awake.

Damn, my roommate snores so loud, I can't sleep at all. Last night I was woken up by his snoring. I can even hear him with music and my Sennheiser HD280's on. The fire alarm is a more pleasant sound than that. Should I just smack him with a pillow while he's sleeping and tell him STFU, or buy earplugs, but than I'm worried that I can't get up with the alarm.

Yell at him. Tell him he's snoring and to get onto his side (usually stops snoring).

I had th esame problem for 2.5 years. Since hthey are asleep, you can be a real d!ck as they won't remember it in the morning. Well, once in a while they remember, but it doesn't take much more than reminding them that they were snoring.

You could try using headphones AND earplugs. Tell your roomate he has to wake you up since you can't hear the alarm on account of him.

I'm a heavy snorer and I can't help it :(
Went to Vegas once with some of my co-workers and we shared a room. I snored so loud that I woke him up and he thought there was an earthquake.

What is this "breathe right strips" everyone is talking about? Does that prevent snoring?

Yup, breathe rights are supposed to help snoring. You just place them on your nose before you go to bed. You can buy them at any drug store.

Yes, they go over your nose and open up you sinuses. You can get them at most pharmacies.

The right place to insert earplugs is not into your ears as many mistakenly thinks, but for the maximum effect they should rather be inserted into his nose.

i am the snoring roommate, bawhahahahahaha..... i kinda wish i wasn't, going to go buy some breathe right strips soon, just the being slightly sick makes me a monster snorer i guess.

Is there anyway to stop snoring?

Yeah, die.

;)

but if death is like "eternal slumber" wouldn't i snore forever, that hardly seems the way to solve this problem.

hahaha

tell them to sleep with their head/neck in a different position. And I don't know if there's any truth to "more tired = more snoring".

Are they expensive?

breathright strips only work if the sound comes from your nose. My snoring comes from my throat. It seems to me that overweight people snore because the weight from the extra chin compresses the back of their throat in a weird way.

That being the case, tell him to loose weight :)
