How do you deal with nosy neighbors

I live in an end unit townhouse. The neighbors on my street are in general nice. However there is this retired couple (young) that live on the very end of the street. They are always on the outside on their stoop smoking. But I notice they do it whenever some activity is going on outside. I.E. some new car appears outside or someone is doing some projects to their house etc....

I rented a U-Haul truck one day and as soon as i poped up with it they came outside looking super nosy.

Play with them. Do something that is totally legal ...but looks bad and see what they do. You can be the puppetmaster!

how do you know it's when stuff is happening unless you're watching them too? Quit being a nosy neighbor

As soon as I come home from work they pop up outside. If I come outside to work on my car they pop up outside. If I'm out playing with my daughter they pop up outside.

Not much you can do, you need to relax and ignore them. They can sit on their property and look around all they want. They are probably just bored and lonely.

Just deal with it. You can't make them stop, and you have the added benefit of a neighborhood watchdog in case someone breaks into your house.

I would get some sand bags, put them inside a large black garbage bag, then fill the bag with water and red food coloring. Next drag this now very heavy bag out side leaving a trail of red water down the drive way and stuff it in the garbage. Make sure you force it in with a broom handle.

Make a point of telling the neighbors that your wife has suddenly gone out of town to visit her mother for an indeterminable but extended period of time.

I love how the definition of "good neighbor" has come to mean someone you never interact with and keeps their yard clean. :(

Maybe they're chain smokers and don't smoke in their house. So it seems like they're always there smoking because of activity, when in reality they just need to have 3 ciggs every hour.

Maybe they are outside a lot and you only notice them when you are outside too.
