how do you copy a harddrive to another harddrive?.............I want to transfer the whole hard drive to a new one...How do I do this?

Go to the manufacturer of your new drives web site and you will find utilities to do this. They should have programs to format, partition, and copy data drive to drive.

You could also just temporarily install your old hard drive in your computer with the new hard drive and copy over the files you need. I did this when I built my first computer a few months ago and I didn't have any problems. My hard drives were even running on different operating systems.

I use Norton Ghost.. it came with an old Soyo mobo of mine. I've used it many times.. completely free (unless you wanna think you pay for it as part of the mobo cost) and it works perfect for me. I love it. :D

Had me all happy :eek: But Ghost and Drive Image are some programs that can do it...although they're not free. Replicator looks cool. I might use that in the future. Thanks! :)
