how do you cook ramen noodles?

I used to put in *just* enough water to cover the noodles, add the seasoning packet, and boil until no more water. I think it was really unhealthy.

Now I boil the noodles, add seasoning about 30sec before done, and drain most of the broth.

I'm eating them right now with some sour cream and tabasco... not bad at all...

sour cream?

never tried that before.....

btw, unless you're using fat free sour cream, you're adding a bunch of fat right back into the ramen 🙂

i've never drained them but i usually only eat ramen to clear up a cold. i buy shin ramen and that stuff is spicy. add some rooster sauce for the added kick. really works the sinuses.

never thought about adding flavor packet last.

I might have some more.. what flavor do you recommend?

Put just enough water to cocver the noodles and then microwave them for 1:30, let them sit for 2minutes, pour out the water and add seasoning

i add the flavor last so i dont have to wash my pot... 😀 in college dorm, i use a "hot pot" that boils water in like a minute... i like chicken flavor. dont know if i've ever tried the others

that's how i do it. just don't drink all the soup if you want to cut down on the sodium

and then you're still getting 200% of your daily sodium intake every spoonful

yep. And I add nori (seaweed) into it. About two sheets per package of ramen. Yummy!

actually its 32% per serving or 760mg 2 servings pe package. 64% 1520mg of sodium

chicken broth
cilantro
stips of beef, chicken, or shrimp
bean sprouts
lemon juice
fish sauce
garlic (special garlic stuff my mom makes)

good stuff 🙂

don't drink the soup, and you cut down the sodium big time. the soup has no nutrtional value anyways
