How do you control Startup items (in lower right corner) in Win 2000 Pro?

There is no msconfig in Win2000. What do I do to prevent so many of those programs from starting up?

You can download a pretty nifty utility at the link below. It will serve the same purpose as msconfig and it's what I use for manipulating startup applications with W2K.

Grab MSCONFIG from your XP box and it will work and do the same thing.

spybot search and destroy has a tool in it that can disable them and reenable them at a later date if needed. see sig under spyware removal for download link
