How do you confirm overclocking?

I have overclocked my E6700 from 2.66MHz to 3.2MHz. I haven't yet tried any processor-intensive activities yet. For bootup, web-surfing and very light gaming I can't tell any differences with 3.2 versus 2.66. Should I? Is there any way to confirm the processor really is at 3.2 rather than 2.66, besides looking in the bios?
