How do you configure a SATA RAID

Hey,

I am building a new rig and I would like to know how to configure a SATA Raid and the install XP Pro on it. If someone could give me a quick step by step process. I am using a K8N Neo Plat. with the SATA drivers on a floppy. Also, how big is the performance gain when you do RAID 0? Any help is appreciated.

Chapter 5 of your motherboard's manual shows how to configure a SATA RAID. Performance gains will depend on what you do with it. Hit the Storage tab at the top of the page for Anand's RAID0 article, and also read the comments to hear a counterpoint view from some people who thought his findings missed some areas where RAID0 had significant improvements to offer.
