How do you complain if you're not good at it

Sort of an odd topic. I have a Dell PC under warranty a few months old. After around 2-3 months the cpu fan failed and had to be replaced but I think theres been damage to the mb or cpu.

System keeps pausing briefly every few seconds with tons and tons of these errors in event viewer:

Disk Warning
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.

IdeChnDr Error
The device, \Device\Ide\IdeDeviceP1T1L0, did not respond within the timeout period.
I also get it for IdeDeviceP0T0L0 etc almost all of them.

CDRom Error
The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block.
CDRom Warning
An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging operation.

My floppy drive doesn't work at all even in safe mode etc. 3D games that are old and should run great run like crap (my laptop runs them better). So I've called Dell 3x on this and they keep telling me to make software changes but I know computers and clean installs of the original Dell software etc shouldn't still let these things happen. So I'm not too good at complaining but was wondering what I should do to get this fixed? I'm not good at arguing with people on the phone but there's a legitimate hardware problem here.

It sucks that I bought a PC because I didn't want to deal with replacing parts etc. instead of building my own. They just keep giving me the run-around with this.

Just be firm but nice, ask for the supervisor as soon as someone picks up explain to them that they don't want to have to handle this call if they don't do so.

i used to work at a call center doing support for Compaq Laptops and was a 2nd level tech, most times calls I got were from people that have called many times for the same issue, I'd quickly look up their history then pass them along to the supervisor if any basic trouble shooting steps were already done.


EDIT: let me stress how much futher you will be able to get if you keep calm and nice will "demanding" what you need. If someone would call me and right off the bat be and ass and start yelling, I don't care how much they were in the right or wrong they weren't getting anything out of me.
