Okay guys i have a problem.. i have a monitor that is dirty and i need to clean it. Please provide me with a solution to my problem

Thanks in advance

I use electronic cleaner that works with LCD monitors.

if you can't find that, you can just use a wet (or even dry) lint-free cloth to clean your screen. you can find them at your local eyeglasses stores :]

I use the same thing I use to clean my $1000+ Canon L lenses.

1) Zeiss Lens Cleaner

2) Sprayed onto a microfibre lens cloth.

3) I then wipe down the monitor with the monitor OFF. Makes it easier to see the marks against a black screen.

sandpaper will remove ANYTHING from your LCD 😛

... for normal cases i use distilled or RO water and a clean soft cloth [micro-fibre for cleaning lenses is extra nice]

little Windex on a Kitchen towel... is that bad? Been doing it for a while, works great.

I've been told never to use Windex on an LCD screen as the chemicals are too harsh.

My method--turn monitor off and allow to cool down at least a half an hour. Use distilled water on a clean soft towel and dry quickly with a clean soft towel.

Monster lcd screen cleaner kit, the only product I bought from them. Great microfiber cloth and never wipe lcds dry.

Water and a towel. Nothing else works. Tried everything, diluted alcohol and other stuff mentioned here... all left streaks but water/towel.

Yup, thats what I use as well. Nothing beats it.

Memorex PC Quick Wipes?
Do they work just as well on your asS?

plain water and a soft cotton cloth, used with very little pressure on my LCD. But i get the best results by not getting anything on it in the first place, and canned air gets the dust mostly.

the CRT got the windex.

I bought some Wieman electronics wipes for like 3 bucks for who knows how many. All I know is they are convenient and 1 will take the dust down on quite a few things with no hassle.

Hi there,

While I was doing some Quality Control and cosmetic inspection in my previous job.

We used three kinds of solution to clean the LCD monitor.

1. Label removers = for bezel and rear cover that has glue, tape marks tough gooey dirt.

2. Cleansing Foam for the LCD Panel surface (sometimes it doesn't do too well a job but at least we know it will not harm its Panel.) Panel surface are normally very sensitive. Make sure your cleaning solution do not leak onto the sides connecting Panel and Front Bezel, these things if Sip through can damage the panel.

3. Liquid type detergent to clean the cosmetics. To remove pen marks, Pencil scribbles, accumulated thick dust.

hope that helps.
