How do you clean your George Foreman Grill?

Made some very yummy chicken on it today.. but clean up is really a huge pain. I got the family sized version so it won't even fit in the sink..making it impossible to rinse. I put it on the counter then, and all the grease just drips out onto the counter, blech.

It won't drip on counter if you use the drip trough for it.

I clean mine by turning it on until it's cook-temp and then I put that trough there and simply pour a glass of water down all of the grooves and then use paper towel. On the top part (which doesn't have much stuff) a wet paper towel will do.

When I'm finished cooking something, I wipe it down with a wet paper towel while it's still hot, so that all the grease and other stuff stuck to the grill comes off pretty easily. If you let it sit until the grill cools off, it's harder to clean off. Ours also came with a special tool that you can use to scrape stuff off with.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I actually think the flavor from an uncleaned grill is better.

if u just wipe it down, aint it still a wee bit dirty? i do it the hard way, wipe it down first, then use a sponge and wipe it while rinsing at same time. 🙁.

why would anyone in their right mind throw out the most useful kitchen appliance invented in the last 10 years?

No damn kidding! Cooking both sides at once, it cooks a frozen Gold'n'Plump chicken breast in 4-5 minutes, or a 1/4 burger well done in about 6.
