How do you choose a dentist?

I need some work done, and don't have a dentist currently. I've never had to choose one before, advice?

the only way to ever choose a dentist. if you yelp, make sure the yelp review is about their dental work and chair side manners. often you see friends and family post reviews about how good they are and what a friend they've been...which is utter bullshit when they have a needle and mirror in hand.

edit: we get a lot of yelp referrals at our office since our office is located in the financial district in sf.

I wish, had some dreams of her. That was the closest I got. She did touch me of course but not the way I wanted. I did look down her scrubs every time she'd be reaching over to put the bib on.

I would choose 3 and pick which does least drilling which will all be different. With Dentists and auto mechanics best get at least a second opinion.
