change the file logoXXX.sys right?
I only found logoS.sys and logoW.sys, but both are for shutdown... and I can find the startup one...

For Win95, it's logo.sys in the root directory. Win98 and after don't have that file anymore....it's part of io.sys. You can create one that conforms to the logo.sys requirements (16 colour, 400 x 300), name it logo.sys and place it in the root directory, and it should work.

Don't know for WinME and Win2K.

I've tried to do this, however it doesn't work. I have regular Win98, and opening the file before I switched it, it showed WIndows 98 Plus, which isn't what I have or what is displayed. What do you mean by part of the io.sys.

Here are the steps for win95,98,ME:

1) Make your splash screen as a 640x400, 256 color bitmap
2) Resize it to 320x400
3) Name it logo.sys and put it in your root (C: or whatever) directory

I have used files made in this way on all three versions of the OS.
