How do you change the name in your IE bar?

I went to a site the other day, and it automatically change my explorer bar to -Anonymous Access.net.

So instead of Internet Explorer, it has that. I want to change it back, or put nothign at all.

I change mine using Xteq Setup. You can get it at Xteq.com.

I guess you could also do it through the registry but I don't know how.

theres a way to do it in the registry...... goto RegEdit its there somewhere, i know its, annoying haveing it say somethin else

You can change it in regedit, that's how I got rid of the AT&T bullcrap on my friend's computer.

Usually it won't happen unless you accept some sort of ActiveX to run in your computer. You better check into that also.

open your registry editor (start -> run -> regedit)
go to hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main
look for WindowTitle. if the string is there, delete it to get back to normal. or think of some funny name and put that as the new title for your ie instead

so ... anyone knows how to do that in netscape or mozilla?

with mozilla its built into the exe and i believe the same is true for netscape but im not sure.... go to www.technologismiki.com/hackman and download the hex editor there..... open the exe with it and do a search for the title in either mozilla or netscape it should find it and if it does u have to replace it with the same number of characters.... you can use less by putting spaces but u have to have the same number or the exe will be corrupted
