How do you avoid deoderant stains?

Are we talking about stains the color of the deodorant (white) or the ones where the shirt is actually permanently discolored in that area (sort of a bleach-esque effect). I've been having a problem where once in awhile I will just find orange-ish streaks on my darker colored shirts that don't wash out. It really pisses me off, as it renders the shirt unwearable pretty quickly. I was thinking it was from my mildly acidic facewash, but after seeing this thread, perhaps its my deodorant?

actually if you dont want whie stains... wear real deoderant...not antiperspirant...
or wear the gel.

To avoid deodorant build up use one without Zinc. Check the active ingrediants and only purchase those without Zinc.

There are a few brands, the Old Spice original basic is one of em and my personal choice..

i always wear a white undershirt, ALWAYS, it keeps my clothes lasting longer, all my sweat is absorbed by the cheap 1 dollar shirt and it leaves my tshirt, dress shirt, polo, whatever looking nice, and if there are any stains, its on the undershirt.

Exactly. Your nose is used to it. Ask your co-workers what they think. We have a guy at work who didn't wear deodorant because he thought he smelled fine. He definitely did not.

Use dry deodorant and wrap your armpits in saran wrap.

Roll up your shirt a bit before putting it on so the only deodorant stains you have are on the inside

I was about to post this. It appears the OP sucks at expressing concepts and ideas, but he's actually freaking getting fresh deo/antiperspirant from his pits on the outside of his t-shirt because he can't get it on right. Roll it up, stick your head through the top, and don't let your arms flop wildly trapping your t-shirts in your deodorant loaded pits of doom.

I never thought I'd fucking see the day where we'd have to tell someone how to put their clothes on here...

EDIT: For future reference, to most people, deodorant stains always means the nasty yellowish marks that any deodorant with antiperspirant will eventually leave on the pits of your shirts.
