How do yall deal with a bad boss?

I ignore them. When they start bitching, I just say "ok", and keep doing what I was doing. Otherwise, I engage, and give them shit back. Nobody owns me, and they aren't doing me some great favor by giving me a job. The reverse is actually true.

I've gotten two of my bosses fired in the past. They were pieces of shit and deserved it, and I'm good at collecting information in order to get the job done.

Let's see how you feel when you get fired and have to live on Wall Street with the other hippies.

Go march with the rest of the whiners. Jeebus, is it so hard to understand if you don't like where you are working, leave or start your own company and become the crappy boss you complain about. Because I can guarantee you that no matter how "nice" you are as a boss, someone that works for you will think you suck.

Document important conversations you have with him. Keep a journal of things he does that are unprofessional. Best case scenario you can use it as kindling someday, worst case scenario you'll need it to defend yourself.

I had a boss that made all us salaried folks punch a time clock. I confronted him about it and got him to send an email explaining that it was only to show his bosses how many hours we worked and wouldn't be used against us.

6 weeks later we got our yearly reviews and one of my co-workers got a bad mark for being late to work with a printout from the time clock to prove it. I had the co-worker print the email about the time clock never being used against us and confront the boss with it. He was so pissed. It was hilarious. But he did remove the bad mark on the co-workers review about being late.

Yes, I agree with you. Let me give y'all an example of his incompetence: Once he told me I got the highest review of anybody. But, he told me that in front a coworker. Which means everybody knows it now. So I hear grumblings and envious, hateful remarks because of it. I think that was his plan all along. Really devious.

I know, I hate it when people compliment me in front of my co-workers. The last thing I want is for people to know I'm hard working and good at my job.

Do you like your job? If so, just keep your mouth shut and keep working hard. There are thousands of people right looking for a job, so finding a replacement would not be an issue.

Co-workers need to stop their whining. I would hate to work in your office, too many friggin crybabies.

my boss is a moron as well, he honestly makes those who work for him look incompetent

luckily i dont think ill have to deal with him much longer

Wow. Just wow. I'm glad I don't employ assholes like that.
