How do we say overclocking in french??

umm, last I checked, email stood for "electronic mail" which is exactly what "mail electronique" means.. How exactly is that inventing new words?

Because they switched the order, therefore CLEARLY its a new word. Stupid.

No. Email stands for electronic mail in english... which is courrier électronique in french, so they merged it into courriel. That one isn't bad actually.

I'm talking about words like pourriel which is from pourri (rotten) and courriel (email), meaning Spam.
I'm talking about words like clavardage which is clavier (keyboard) and bavardage (chat), meaning Chat.
I'm talking about words like plugiciels which is plugin (plugin) and logiciel (software), meaning Plugin.
and the list goes on...
