Why would they have the kids cheat when they can just as easily find kids who CAN answer the questions? Those kids aren't average fifth graders. What amazes me about that show is not how smart the kids are, but how stupid the adults are. If it's "rigged," it's with adults who are playing dumb.

Google ; Question was who was the US Pilot who piloted the first airplane that broke the sound barrier .

She was greedy and it cost her, but, I understood her decision to give the big prize a go, history was a strong subject of hers. She's got a medical career to fall back on so she won't be hurting for cash.

yea i knew he had something to do with the space program but i dont know if i would have comde up with his hame if asked that question

You have to be kidding. He's right up there with John Glenn and Neil Armstrong. If you say you don't know who they are you fail at being an American.

I'm sure those kids are prepped in someway for the show. Very few of the questions represent how smart you are - it just represents whether or not you can memorize static information.

The first secretary of state? Who cares if you don't know that answer off the top of your head. Now, if you can't find the information, then there is a problem.

I really hope elementary schools today aren't focused on memorizing. They need to focus on problem solving.

And you really think those people are really that stupid?

I watched the last 10 minutes of it last week. How can someone not know about Chuck Yeager? That's unpossible.
